Hearing about another's grief is a very connecting and such a deep, human experience. To be able to have these kinds of real connections is rare in today's isolated and cold world. Just as one walks with nature and fully engulfs themselves in its beauty--I think there is something to be said for sitting down and really trying to understand another person's struggles and their story. After doing the interview I feel a deep reverence for the human connections that we have. As the Buddhist teachings tell us, life is so short and full of suffering, but if we cultivate our lives with right actions and attitudes, we can still find great meaning and satisfaction in our short lives. I think one of the greatest ways to achieve this meaning is through our connection to those we love.
