Electricity is very useful like a parallel circuit has more than one path for energy to travel so that if a power line goes out you will still have power.
On the other hand a series circuit only has one path so if it goes out you do not have power.
A conductor lest the energy go  through to let you have power but an insulator does not let energy go through.
Another type of energy is static electricity it is a charge that builds up on an object.
