Large companies are also needed for innovation and economic prospers. It takes away from smaller companies, but also it can be harmful because once enough people rely on one source then that source has an unnecessary amount of power. Once you have this much power, it's significantly easier to get away with things that a company shouldn't be able to get away with. On the other hand, once a company gets very big, it can be harder to break up in the future.
