It gave teachers, students and others different ways to look at learning and try to meet the target of many.  Perennialism and Essentialism (traditional philosophy) focus more on the subjects whereas Progressivism and Reconstructionism (contemporary philosophy) focus more on the learners (Ornstein & Hunkins, 2016). A good curriculum worker can adapt when their views are challenged and cause them to question their original way of thinking.
