The scene we found interesting was the section on the Golden Ratio. In this scene we were asked to find the most appealing face, as well as most attractive body shape later on. We found it could relate to Plato's forms as even though we were looking at physical traits, we all choose the similar faces and bodies without much of a reason. These people we find attractive participate in the form of beauty more than other's and we are unconsciously drawn to them.
- Mac, Alex, Taran, Xavier, Anjali, Brianna

The Golden Ratio

The scene in the show that we found the most interesting was the part about the golden ratio. It is a mathematical ratio that most people look for in who they find attractive. It is related to philosophy as, we can question whether or not the understanding of the golden ratio is innate. The golden ratio is also present in nature, which may be the reason most people find it attractive. This suggests that people may be designed to find certain traits attractive innately. - Krutik, Anureet, Rumeet, and Jessica

Ranking People

The scene that was most interesting to us was when random strangers were tasked to rank people based on attractiveness. It was interesting to see that amongst the first two or three people, it stayed relatively consistent but people became more subjective around four or five. We can say that this relates directly to epistemology in some ways. Since beauty is a form of truth and knowledge and is so subjective, we all have perceptions and ideas of what beauty is. Despite it being so subjective and personal, it was interesting to see that it remained so consistent among the strangers. - Adam, Anuj, Murtaza

Guessing Love

The scene that we found the most interesting was when strangers had to guess who was really married/in love and who was not. This related back to the question of how do we really know what true love is and how can we guess who is married and who is not? We all have different perceptions of what love is, and everyone had a different idea of what it was. This shows how there is not just one idea of love and everyone may view it in different ways. However, after the guy told them what marriage really looks like, they all got the answer right on who was really married. This relates back to the fact that this knowledge is not innate, and people must be introduced to it to believe what it really is. By looking at it in a different way, they used this form of sense knowledge to see how the couples were acting around each other to get an idea of what love can possibly look like; although we don't know for sure.
- Harleen, Asiefa, Kiran, Raman, Anuraj, Manraj

Ranking beauty

The part we found the most interesting was when you had to rank the faces from the most beautiful to least. In this part they gave you 3-5 faces either all men or all woman and they made random people rank them. Most of the rankings were similar. The more the faces, the less similar the ranking were. We feel like we can relate this to physlosophy through platos theory of form such as beauty. As no form is able to reached perfectly we think it can be related to this when the rankings are different. Because that shows everyone’s different perceptions on beauty. Also because when the faces were shown none of them were perfect. We even tried relating this to innate knowlegde and questioning if your perception of beauty is innate or is it gained and changed throughout your life.
Sukhman, Muheeb, Oliver
