Cyberbullying is a major issue in adolescence. Cyberbullying happens inside and outside of school all the time, and regardless, it becomes a school issue in some cases. Most bullies seem to want to hurt others to make themselves feel better. In the case of the rest of the commandments, it is probably because some of these violations are short-cuts. Not paying for things, stealing things, using other people's files. Things like that are short-cuts, it could save money, time, or effort, and students will do anything to take short-cuts. Students also use the internet to cheat on assignments, which is also a short-cut. I think we need to educate students on computer ethics because we use technology in classrooms more than ever before. It is important to educate students about their "digital footprint." Not only could some of these things stay with them for their entire life, but some of these things are very illegal and could have some serious consequences. Some students may do some of these things because they have no idea what the harm is or what the consequences are. They may not know they are doing something wrong. Another thing that can work is parental controls, but they only work to an extent and they are a little controversial.
