         <description><![CDATA[<div>During the classical era from 600 BCE-600 CE the external (and internal) factors that caused the decline and eventual fall of several empires were constant invasions from pastoral nomads and the spread of diseases due to increased contact with the outside world and the increase of trade (Certain groups of people who may've been immune to certain diseases traveled to several empires and the disease spread across the empire since a majority of the people weren't immune to the disease). However, other internal factors like deforestation and the growing gap between the rich and poor also caused the collapse of several empires due to shortage of resources and environmental destriction thanks to deforestation and political instability and unrest thanks to a growing distance in the wealth gap.
