They can initiate impeachments. <br>the speaker of the house leads the House of Representatives. They make key appointments. <br>The lieutenant governor is president of the Senate, but he only breaks ties.<br>sessions: <br>even number of years = short sessions <br>odd number of laws = long sessions<br>example: house bill no. 2. 2006, new minimum wage law was passed. <br>Security Act single sex multiple occupancy act.
