2. Inside the box there is what seems to be a dead girl. Every time the box comes up it is a boy and that boy is alive. So it is a change and they don't know how to react to this different event. Also this box has come up a month early which is even more confusing for the gladers who have had the same routine for 2 years. 

3. I think the message might mean that she is the last person or thing to be sent up in the box ever. I don't think the box will go back down. 

4. I think seeing all the faces of the boys in the Glade may have triggered some of his memory to come back. 3. Thomas decides to run into the maze as the doors are closing and gets trapped with Alby and Minho

4. Minho take off in the maze leaving Thomas with the almost dead Alby

5. Thomas knows that the grievers will come around soon so decides to climb the vines and tie himself and Alby up in the vines

6. One greiver comes along and starts climbing the wall so THomas leaves Alby there and starts running

7. 3. Newt knows that if they let someone as knew as Thomas be a runner others would want to be a runner as well because they know that a new glader could so they could. However, the keeps would most likely say no to a lot of these people and they might try to run into the maze by them self's. 3. Thomas has to go into what the gladers call a gathering. They decide what punishment he should have. Minho says that he should be the keeper of the runners as Gally think that he should him him.

6. When he went to eat with Chuck in the morning he found out that Gally had run off into the maze when he stormed out of the gathering. 

7. Thomas is put in the slammer and Chuck stopped by to give him some lunch.  They had a one to one talk about what is was like out of the maze.

When Thomas and Minho appeared from the maze after a night all the gladers were shocked. They were the first ones ever to be in the maze at night and survive. So all the boys in the glade were shocked and astonished because they thought they would be dead. Thomas never had this many people stare at him and he is uncomfortable with it.  

3. Thomas was feeling very hopeless. He thought that if they hadn't already find a way out after 2 years of searching that they would never find a way out. Now he finally understood, that they weren't just trying to escape that they were trying to beat and get revenge on the people that put them here.

4. During the changing people see memories of their past life, from before they were in the maze. When you see these memories you realize how much better it was in your old life and become afraid of who took that away from you. I think this happened to encourage the people in the maze to work even harder to get out and back to their old lives.

6. At the gathering Minho suggested that Thomas should be a runner and take his spot as the keeper of the runners. Later we learn that he aimed high to hit low, so Thomas got the spot as a runner. Minho suggested this because he thinks that Thomas would be a very good runner, as he saw when he was in the maze with Thomas. AS a punishment for going into the maze Thomas received 1 night in the slammer, which is their jail. They also decided to make him a runner because he did an excellent job out in the maze. I think it was a good idea because they need Thomas on their team to get out of the maze but they also need to show the other gladers that they will get punished if they go out into the maze. 

2. Alby wanted to talk to Thomas bout what he saw in the changing. Thomas learned that Alby saw him but before Alby could say anything else he started choking himself. However, after Ably said that everything was going to change and that he should protect the maps. 

4. When Thomas went to visit the girl he learned her name as she spoke to him in his head. She said different things about them putting everyone here.

6. After Gally stormed out of the gathering he run into the maze by himself. I think that he is dead in the maze because it has been a few days scene he ran out and I don't think Gally could survive a night in the maze. 

7. Thomas tells Chuck that it is ok to cry and that he should never be embarrassed to cry.  This shows that Thomas is a very open person and is not worried about showing other people his soft side. 

8. Thomas promised that he would get Chuck home. I think he will be able to keep this promise because he is a very good runner and will most likely find a way out of the maze and bring everyone with him. Thomas told the others to trace the maps that were on paper onto parchment. Then he took one maze from every section for the same day and laid them over each. It revealed  that there were letters when they added all of the letters together. I think this might be instructions to get out of the maze because these are wounds that could be actions on what to do to escape. 
2. Minho reviled that the real maps were never burned in the fire but that Minho and Newt had taken the real maps and put them in a secret room. Then they put decoy maps in their place.
