         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>This was a transition after slavery was abolished.</li></ul><div>&nbsp;</div><ul><li>Preceding slaves were provided with immediate medical care and shelter, and some even land.</li><li>Andrew Johnson owned slaves and was a racist that didn't want slaves free at all.</li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>He believed that each state should have choice to keep slaves or not.</li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>The KKK was a white supremacist group who hated black people.&nbsp;</li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>They sought to get rid of any group that was a minority including jews, blacks, people that were supported left side of government, and homosexuals.</li><li>Abe Lincoln gets assassinated (shot in the head)</li></ul>]]></description>
