In my school there is a charge for infrastructure. The Wi-Fi network is managed by a private company. The network is too slow.

I agree with Panagiota's, ICT are important to student learning and certainly the interest and commitment is more constant.

- The  projects are usually designed by a teaching staff, reflecting together and share ideas, it later they are shared with all the teachers staff

Unfortunately I could not attend the webinar because engaged in school, but I have followed the recording and it is really interesting

 

To improve performance in the infrastructure of my school it is necessary to:

Before restoring the internal network;

improve Internet connection through ADSL updating the optical fiber;

Involving a serious external company for the design and implementation of the network;

It would be a great internal team to specialized school and able to manage the network and solve problems.

 

 

Wiring for all classes in addition to the laboratory.

 

 

install antivirus;

Set a fire-wall to protect your network;

Set up a proxy server to ban dangerous site.

 

 

A router can connect with GB sufficient for all;

 Switch must be able to provide Wi-Fi connections;

A server to be used as a domain controller.

 

In my school there is need of one or more ICT administrators. Administrators must be trained to be able to help the school staff

The video is interesting, unfortunately, I can not answer the question "In what ways is your wifi network the same or different from Hermann's?" Because, as I wrote in a previous Padlet, we teachers are not trained and informed as it has been structured network of our school. I can only say that the wife network is slow and does not cover all areas of my school.
