My thoughts on the First Amendment rights for students is they should been able to exercise their rights peacefully. The schools action fo suspending them for wearing a black armband was not necessary as it did not cause any disturbance in class from learning or any violent action. The First Amendment right should be allowed anywhere especially in schools as long as it's peaceful. For any age, minority or religion he/she is.

I believe that the First Amendment rights of students should also extend to schools, as long as acting upon them does not disrupt the flow of the classroom. Profanity is disruptive so it is an exception and small children do not really understand what they want yet and just mimic others.

Students should absolutely have full access to all the First Amendment rights that any other class or age group of people do. Students are, I believe, still to be held by reasonably restriction from disruption or activities that can be easily misconstrued as threatening, i.e. bomb threats. Furthermore, I believe people such as Justice Black are extremely harmful to the maintaining of rights in the United States.

I believe the First Amendment should be more expanded to the students, especially high school students, not saying that middle and elementary school shouldn't have it, but because those students are about to go out into the real world soon and if their First Amendment is restricted to them, then they would not be able to properly express themselves in ways that are right. As long as it doesn't hurt anybody it is fine.

My view is a little bit iffy; the students should definitely have full access to the 1st amendment, but I do wonder if that would be too much for them. Being unrestricted in what you say can be very dangerous, but being restricted can result in the same thing. I think there are certain things to restrict, but we should have basically full access to the first amendment.

Although in court cases they have shown to allow students to be free to choose their own clothing. The dress code seems to restrict that and not in ways that make sense. For example the recent ban on playboy clothes, the clothes themselves just have a rabbit and the words "Playboy" on them these clothes don't distract or pull away from any
