The arts have always been apart of my education throughout my life up until college. There was alot of drawing in my early/elementary education, while middle school had alot of music and some dance, and I continued to dance throughout high school! My highschool always treated arts like a plus/de-stressor since there was only clubs, but in middle school I had multiple art classes and clubs after. Taking this class feels like a weight relief from having to rely on knowledge in order to pass, because it feels like second nature!

I really loved this activity! I've created graffiti art a couple of times in High School. This time I really enjoyed seeing how I personalized it to represent me. My favorite color is purple so that's why the name is purple. My name also means water so I tried to put air bubbles in my name to represent liquid. Speaking of liquid I'm also a water sign (Scorpio) and I chose to signify that on the y in my name. My mom's side is originally from Anguilla and we LOVEE going to the beach so I also wanted to incorporate that. The background is white because we have white sand beaches there and it's the most velvety, calming, beautiful thing you can experience. You can literally see the clear fishes swimming in the water, that's how clear it is.

I loved learning about this song. I found it interesting how a teacher from another culture cared enough to write about it. He wrote about it as a poem and it was able to transition into music. This piece had a such a impact on people that they wanted to hear it be performed but it was instead banned. Athorities are scared of motivation and potential and it will always be that way, is the message I got from this segment in class.

This segment of the class brought me back so many memories. In High School, teachers MADE sure we knew the correct structure of a story. This is essential for students to understand because they need to be able to communicate and analyze what someone says to them. A series of events always happen to everyone and not everyone is the best at explaining but as long as they know the basic structure of storytelling they should be able to follow.
