Puan Norihan also briefied about the other departments and I was motivating by her to do the job well. This method is to facilitate the calculation of the quantity of fabric before it is sent to the laundry. Not only that, I can also recognize and remember the different types of fabric. I can find out about the different types of bedding and some types of towels. This hotel has two types of bersama which are King bed and Twin bed. The sheets and blankets for both types of bed can be distinguished by their size but it also can be identified by the colour of the thread at that fabric. While, the pillow cases have two types that we call Standard and Europe pillow. He was assigned to take care of the room on the floor 14. He taught to me how to tidy up the bed. The sheets, blankets and pillow cases must be neatly covered and neatly arranged to look good. The sheets and blankets should be lain properly to make sure they look neat and do not look any wrinkles. I was shown by her how to clean the bathroom. She was told me some of the proper skills for cleaning the bathroom to make look nice and clean. I also was learn how to arrange the amenities and wiping items in the bathroom to make them look organized and shiny. I also learned how to clean the shower room that has watermark to make it clean. The dirty fabrics was collected in a trolley and will be picked up by linen to be sent to the laundry. Today I did the cleaning of the room where the guests was still staying in the room. The rooms that still have guests do not need to be completely cleaned like a check-out room. Kak Syazana and I just added the outdated items such as mineral water, bath goods, laundry bag and tidy up a few items in the room to make them look neat. On that day, I met a kind and friendly guest, she give us some tips because have packed the room and treated her very well. Kak Syazana was taught me the ways to fold the laundry bags. This laundry bag should be folded by displaying their logo and name of the hotel. I was assigned to follow their staff who is Encik Sabri. He was assigned to clean the room on floor 12. On floor 12 is a smoking floor so cleaning needs to be emphasized because of the smoke from the cigarette. After that, I keep all the things like iron board, sajadah, hair dryer and so on in the close. Next, I replace the new sheets, blankets and pillow cases with the new one. After that, he was taught to me the ways to arrange ingredients of drinks such as creamer, sugar, brown sugar, nescafe and tea into a small container. The number of these items should be arranged according to the number of beds in the room. The number of each type of cloth should be noted. This is because the cloth that has been taken for use in other department like F&B needs to be returned in the same quantity.
