The WIBDI is a company that is physically based in Apia, Samoa. The suppliers are farmers in Samoa, who gather, husk and collect coconut oil from the coconuts trees on and around their properties. The very first coconuts of the season, which is late November to early December. They are gathered by farmers and the fleshy white insides, known as copra, of the coconut are put through either wet or dry process of producing coconut oil. The dry process is most common in Samoa as it is traditional and includes drying the copra by hot air drying over a kiln or fire. The coconut copra is then pressed and the coconut oil is extracted. the WIBDI also has other products that are produced in Samoa which include coconut oil, cocoa, coffee, honey, fruit, vegetables, herbs and spices.
