She talks about what she loves about his "autism stripe", as well as what she loves about the other stripes that come from that stripe, such as how he loves and cares for others, his generosity, his smarts, etc.

It mirrors the ways in which she can begin to find comfort and love in her new home while also maintaining the love she carries for her native country.
