Main concerns regarding globalization are environmental, poverty from the fall of wages, and health risks of workers. Environmental risks are that companies will overuse natural resources that are needed to produce their goods. Also, overuse of our fossil fuels and other types of irreplaceable natural resources will diminish. The next concern has regards to poverty. With companies paying their workers less to be able to sell their product for less, people that work in the factories will make little to nothing. These low wages cause poverty and therefore low standard of living. Finally, there is a threat of health risks of the workers in factories and people worldwide. Concerns of a global pandemic are circulating. Increased wealth comes from globalization through an increase in per capita GDP. Better quality of life is caused by the spread of products to other countries, more travel and tourists, and greater spread of domestic culture to foreign countries. Another benefit is the availability of foreign goods. With international products being imported, consumers can have a more widespread selection of goods to purchase. These goods may also be available to consumers at lower prices.
