Built 1968-70 as offices for BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation). The building is a framed structure, with steelwork and a distinctive copper cladding on the top 3 storeys which wrap around the 3 exposed elevations of the building. Refurbished in 2007 and partially re-clad, the building is divided into shop space on the ground floor and office space above. Whilst occupied after refurbishment, the building is currently vacant. The majority of photographs below are from 2011, with the addition of 3 photographs form 2007 taken during the building's refurbishment. Listed as a category B listing.

The last remaining Gorbals tenement, designed just before Salmon's elevation to the partnership. Arts & Crafts iron balcony over bay window; tower at the other end with small windows and steep pediments, the original turret missing. Scroll inscribed 'British Linen Company Bank' above entrance to former ground-floor bank, which was provided with a very atmospheric Glasgow Style interior by the 'Wee Troot', as Salmon was affectionately known. Compare with the contemporary Govan Cross Bank by John Gaff Gillespie, Salmon's colleague and future partner (see p. 00). Awaiting new use, abandoned and at risk.

Joyce 24, uni student studying textiles, likes a good museum and learning about design history. 

Sean 65, bus driver, overheard about the exhibition and decided to have a look on his break. 

Jade 9, went there on a school trip and really enjoyed the visit. especially the interactive elements, wanted to go back to show her Mum and Dad. 

Martin 83, currently in a wheel chair and has been struggling to find exhibitions to go to that are accessible. A lot of people will opt for the train, this is because both Glasgow Central and Queen Street Stations are in very close proximity with direct access to the site. 

Bus Connection also get you close to the site at either end of Buchanan street or at the Buchanan Street Bus Station behind the shopping centre. 

A small minority will drive to the site, I think this would be because the site is not on a public road, and while the site is close too many large parking garages these tend to be expensive.
