The reason I chose "Dragon Pearl" was because I found it while searching for books to put on my "Types of Fiction" assignment, and when I read the description that it involved fantasy and mythology, I realized how similar it was to my writing style. I love the idea of animals having magic, and I think this book would inspire me even more as a young author. The main character is a thirteen-year-old who I believe I would relate to very well, allowing me to understand the book better.
