Biomes are large regions of the world with similar plants, animals and other living things. They are adapted to the climate and other conditions.

There are about 20 Biomes in the world.

For animals and plants it's a perfect place and there are a big divercity.

Streams or Rivers

There are water moving in one direcction, and its a very common biome.

They can be found in all continents exept the Antartic.

Wetlands

There are surfaces of standing water like marsh, swamps or bogs.

There are a high humid condicions. Water plants, amphibians, reptils and birds are the most common living beings.

There are five ocean biomes: Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, Southern Ocean, and the Arctic Ocean.

Coral Reefs

It's found in a shallow area of clear water within the ocean but it's not the same biome than the oceans biome.

Estuaires

There are areas where seawater mixes with freshwater.
You can found Estuaires along the coast.

Abyssal Zones

This zone is found at depths of 2000 to 6000 meters and down there is complitly dark.

Intertidal Zones

The intertidal zones or littoral zoens are where the land and sea meet, between the high and low tide zones.

Ice

Mediterranean
