Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted anything on this padlet, but recently I have been so busy with school, and family. but anyways I finally got to submit something. This is a drawing of a girl who is sad. you might ask why she is sad, so I'll tell you. I felt exactly like the girl from the drawing, I felt sad, and lonely, thinking that my heart was going to break from all the pain, and it felt like I was inside a box trying to find a way out. These past few years have been really hard for some people, including me. In 2019 a person I knew died, and she was like a grandma to me. Her nickname was Oma, which in German means Grandma. And since the day of her funeral, I felt sad, and lonely, and wished that she could still be alive and be with me. Anyways, after that, I decided to change schools because, at the private school, I would be so sad, and even cry in the classroom because all the memories I had from Oma were flashing back to me, and I would feel sad and that I didn't belong there anymore. So then I started to go to my school in town, and I still felt sad, and lonely which affected me even more because I started going to a new school, had no friends, and didn't know anyone. Well I just got to be at in-person school for about 5 months, and then the pandemic came, and the schools had to close. Well I was in 6th grade at the time, and so my home became my school from 6th grade until now, and I hope that I can still be in Minnesota Connections Academy until I graduate because honestly, I feel welcome here, from my teachers and classmates. I know this story I just wrote about might be sad, or even heartbreaking, but I feel better now after 4 years. And I wanted to share this drawing +my story since 2019 because I know that some of you had difficulties in life too over these past few years, and I want you to know that you were not the only ones. You can share your stories, or feelings here too so you can express how you feel or felt, and let me tell ya, you will feel better after telling someone how you feel, but if you don't want to share it here, then no problem, there are a bunch of people around you that can help you through this process, like your parent's, friends, and most important, Family. If you guys had similar problems like me you can reach out to me and we can talk. Thank you guys, I know that I expressed to much about my personal life but It's the meaning that made me draw the girl that is sad. Now whenever I feel sad or lonely I just look at the drawing and it makes me feel better

Yo Guys story time with Liam LOL, anyways yeah these years have been rougher than your average rock. Believe me it sucked. SOOOOO lets go back in timeeeee

it is 6th grade, I have a mega crush on a girl whos name i wont share, and she wasn;t into me in fact she was very blind to be honest. Like she went after all the people who really didn't give a 🤬 about her, one wanted to play on his nintendo switch, while the other only had her as a means of tormenting me. Anyways the pandem then hits and we are all sent home, last thing someone ever said to me was "hey liam what time is it" Me : uhmm 2:00? "nah its corona time".
anyways we are sent home for distance learning for the rest of the year, this girl I had a crush on FINNALLLYYYY accepted me. Only then she said she was going to transfer schools, it was a pretty sad separation... she then comes back to me with the help of a friend of mine a few years later. However EEEVERYTHING ABOUT HER HAS CHANGED! How she looks, her name,gender, where she lives, actions ETC. Its like she wasn't even herself anymore. We get into a heated argument over it. Everthing is better, but then I stop hearing from her/he.
THEN before this I had befriended someone who AGAIN I WONT REVEAL NAME, who was a lot kinder she is also a girl, and idk we got along very very well. Then she says shes taking advanced courses so im like ohhhh ok, I wont bug you as much then. So I leave her alone and it was about a month. I come back and was like "hey havn't heard in a while everything ok?" and she is like bawling and yelling about how I neglected her, things like that. So im already confused. It becomes another argument which ends up getting resolved. Life seems pretty great then one day we were talking about our favorite internet webseries (ENA), when suddenly she starts screaming about how much she hates me. I was so confused man. It is a really hard an emotional multi day struggle and all she wanted was to leave me. idk what was wrong with her dude.... So then I let her go, she then comes back very recently. She comes back and is like Yo im in a public school, ive changed my name,gender,looks,interests,voice,actions, ETCCCCCC AGAIN IT WAS JUST LIKE BEFORE WHAAAAAAAAAT. So then im mad because she did all of this, and then according to another friend of mine, she/he commits suicide.... THEN AFTER THAT, the friend that tells me this is having a mental breakdown over it because she wasn't able to save my friend. It was yet another anxietizing conversation trying to prevent her from killing herself. I think she is ok but she hasn't responded much and I think is being institutionalized, she was very messed up from the get go.... Then i've also been having separation and loneliness issues. Like I REALLY wish to meet MNCA people in real life some day its just, they are all 3 hours or more away from me... like Minneapolis is 3 and a half hours WHICH IS A LOT. AND I also like someone WHO IS 3 AND A HALF HOURS AWAY... sso I mean AAGH. idk man theres not really a way to make paths shorter and things like that. But yk texting someone is VERY different than perusing the mall with someone. SO yeah there ya have it story time with liam now im going to go listen to some caretaker music in my bed...

Hey guys, last night we had Northern Lights again because there was a Solar Storm, and it was beautiful, this time I got to watch it, and I loved it. I got to see part of it because We got a lot of lights from the road around my house, so It didn't really help. (Btw the picture I did not take this, it's just an example of Northern Lights how looked last night, I got it from a friend). So now I got to see part of the Northern Lights, and a few months ago I also got to see the Star that astronomers said that this generation was not going to see again in the future. I hope I get to see cool stuff later on. And there was also an eclipse last week, so A lot of Things in the Sky are happening lately.

Hi guys! Hope you guys had a good weekend. I just wanted to share this drawing I made on the weekend. I added some dark texture to the leaves, to make them look more realistic. I used good quality markers, and if you guys are interested the name of the brand is Kingart Brush Pens. I highly recommend them, they will make your drawing look so cool, I especially like that if I want to add a texture to a leaf or something, I just re-pass it again and it doesn't ruin the drawing even tho it's still not dry. This might look like if I'm sponsoring the brand, (Which I'm not) but I just wanted to express how I really love this Brush Pens. I'll be posting more drawings this week. Take care!

I always watched my grandma doing it, and one day I got curious and told her I wanted to learn, I learned a bit, but then I got busy and just wanted to enjoy my last week of break. Hey guys, here is a PowerPoint I made for Spanish Class and it's about El Salvador (which the teacher will use for LL)

Just in case, you ever want to go to El Salvador but don't know anything about that small country here are a few things that will get you started. (there are 2 videos, 2-minute video, and a 5-minute video.) There's also a true story of my Grandpa and it's really cool, not something you hear everyday so check it out. Let me know what you think!

This a drawing I made a few weeks ago for Art Share. I made her look like she is sad because she is thinking of what is going on around us. And I started making a song that said, why does it feel like the world is crumbling apart, I feel like bricks are falling on me now, why do I feel like my friends letting me down. (I'm still working on it) but if you are a person who loves to write lyrics or music, let me know, and we can work on a song. Anyways, I kind of wrote what I feel is going on around us and what some people might be feeling. I hope it kind of makes sense because honestly, it's a bit hard to describe it.

Hello! I hope you guys had a good break! Here is another blanket I finished a few weeks ago. (After I took the picture, I noticed it was showing backward, but what it says is Home Sweet Home. I will put it on a picture frame and put it on the chimney in the living room as a decoration. I'm also planning on selling them, for maybe $10 or $12 it depends if the client will want it on a picture frame or not, and if everything goes well after I graduate, I will maybe do a Store too and sell embroidery stuff including the blankets I worked on. So if you do see a Store, in the future and I tell you it's me, don't be surprised. :)

This picture was taken from a mountain, and I was just taking a picture of the beautiful view when suddenly I saw a Falcon literally so close to me that I could see his eyes, and so I got the camera ready and idk how, but I got this picture taken at the right time, (because trying to take a picture of any kind of bird is hard, now imagine a falcon that goes 240 MPH, no that's just impossible, but I guess I got lucky) BUT I did not take it with any Camera/Phone I took it with a DS CAMERA (Antique because I've had that thing since I was 3 or 4 years old and the buttons, and screen still WORKS) Anyways, hope you like this picture. :)

Cave

We went to a Cave on the last days of our vacation, and it was really fun. I got to take a lot of cool pictures and learn new things if I could go back again to SD I would 100% go back to that cave. So you might be wondering, why is a part of it missing? well, I have the answer, People who went there to explore many MANY years ago, would kiss or lick it for good luck, so that's why a piece of it is missing because touching the stalactites or other cave formations can also damage them, leading to their degradation and loss over time, so part of this disappeared because of that, so if you ever go to a Cave tour, please keep in mind to respect the rules about not touching, because they do it for a reason.

``Zipline Ride``

My family and I went to this cool place (Forgot the name) on the first few days of our vacation in SD, and well my older brother and I wanted to go on a Zipline, but I think going to the real ziplines cost a bit, so my mom decided to buy some tickets to this ''zipline.'' Only this one was a Chair. I actually think I might have enjoyed this one more than the real zipline because, on the real zipline, you have to be alert about when to press the brake button, but on this one, you just sit and relax, and enjoy the ride with maybe taking pictures of the beautiful view, so again, if you get the chance to ride on this, please do, you'll enjoy it, plus, after the ride you go to a mini booth and the person who works there tells you that they took a picture of you and if you would like to buy it, (My parents bought it for a Memory Picture, and in 2022 it was not that expensive, but idk now in 2024 how much it costs)

On the last day of our vacation, we went to CANDYLAND and bought some candies, but I'm not a fan of candy so I only got like 1 or 2 kinds of Candy I like, anyways, after everyone got their candies, and went to pay for them, the lady working there asked us if we wanted to play minigolf outside, and my mom said yes, so we chose the color of our golf clubs and the balls, and we went outside to play, well I didn't get lucky, once my ball went to the water, lol, and we had to go get another one, but the person who had the ``golf skills was my little sister (From the picture above) because in 2 holes, she went first and in just her 1 time she got the ball inside the hole, and I was like 0-0 no way. But anyway, we had fun, and after we finished, we went back inside and returned the balls and the golf clubs and went to the cabin where we were staying. But at least I got to take a picture (With my sister who at the last moment wanted to be in the picture too, and copied my pose, (Sigh) Oh well happens with little sisters/brothers, they want to do everything you do, but you still gotta love them. :).

Hey everyone, first of all wish you a Happy Summer, 2nd of all, Elise is graduating this year, so she won't be with us as she used to be this past 2 years, and after she leaves, I'll be the new host of this Padlet, but because we are not having as much of submissions as we used to have, I was wondering if you guys still want to have a Padlet next year, if so, I'll be in contact with Elise and she'll make me the admin of this Padlet, but if not, then we can just not have a Padlet next year. Please let me know before June 12th (Last Day of school) so we can plan ahead. Thank you!

Garfield

Hi everyone! I made this drawing of Garfield during the Summer. I went to my Grandparent's house during the weekend, and he told us that he bought 2 magazines at the store and asked us if we wanted them. I asked him what they were about, and he told me that one of them was of Ancient Egypt, and the other one was the Making of Garfield. My dad said he wanted Garfield, and I wanted the one about Ancient Egypt. So, my grandpa gave us the magazines and I started to read mine. (It was very interesting) I learned the steps the Egyptologists used to unwrap a mummy. Anyways, a few days later my dad started to draw Garfield, and he did an amazing job. Well after I saw that my dad drew Garfield, I asked him if I could read the magazine, and he told me I could. So, I started reading how Garfield came to life and learned a bit about the Author. it was interesting. And so, one day after I finished reading, I thought, if my dad could draw Garfield, it might not be that hard, maybe I can try drawing him. So, I got a Canvas, Pencil, eraser, the magazine and started looking through it to see if I could find one, I would like to draw. Then I found this one where he is lying down, and it did look easy, so I started drawing it, it took me about 1 week to make it just right. And it was not as easy as I expected. But I did it. Mid-July I went to Summer Camp with 2 friends and while we were on the 6-hour drive I decided to keep working on Garfield and make some adjustments, so that's how I made him darker and more realistic. I really love how he turned out and I'm looking forward to drawing more of him (hmm maybe eating Lasagna) But we'll see, but if I do make another one, I'll be sure to share it with you.
