I was really surprised about how accurate the Myer's Briggs test was! Although I was really on the cusp with a few attributes. SO apparently I could be a few different personality types (doesn't surprise me).

Surprisingly this was one of the harder assignments for me to do. I learned I have a hard time talking/writing about myself. It took a while to figure out exactly what I wanted to say or present myself.

I was able to move into a library position in a school that I have worked at for 8 years. I would say, most people know this about me, but it would be useful for newer teachers, who might be afraid to approach me about collaborating. I remember as a first year teacher I was afraid that it would mean adding to someone else's plate or come of looking like I didn't know what I was doing. I think putting this out there for newbie teachers is a great way to let them, know that collaborating is not a burden for me; it's how I thrive as an educator!

I enjoyed making this Powtoon. It was my first time using this product and I thought that it was fun and engaging.
Funny, I have done the personality tests a lot recently for different classes and they all tend to be similar. I am a helper and over commit.
I know that when I am planning with teachers that I need to make sure that I am not over committing myself helping them, because that will not help me.
For this project I made the Powtoon for the staff at my school.
I plan to work with Powtoon in the future as a way to create engaging "advertisements" or book talks.

This assignment has helped me in a time where I have been experiencing a lot of self-doubt and struggling in a new role. I have learned about what I need, as well as what I can offer to my school.

In the future, I think this is a perfect video to share not only to new teachers, but as a beginning of the year reminder to our school staff.

In this case, my audience consists of the teachers at my school. I'd like to make an alternative version of this video for the students to see as well. I want them to know how I can help them, while they can learn a little bit about me.

I will use this to share to my teachers and hope that they can learn about what I can do to help them, and how we can collaborate. Once things get settled with technology distribution at my school, I hope to have a mini library orientation for the teachers so they can see what my goals are too. My school hasn't had a media coordinator in almost two years, so I think everyone can benefit from a reminder of what our media center mission is.

I created this video using PowToon. I had never used PowToon before, but I found it to be fun and easy to use. It was a little challenging to condense everything I wanted to say to under 2 minutes.

I was not really surprised by my Jung's typology test results, but I was surprised by the percentages. I learned that I only have a slight preference for "feeling" over "thinking". I also learned that I have a high need for achievement, but not necessarily recognition, according to the needs assessment.

My audience for the video is the staff at my school. I began working as the SLMC at my school last November, so I am still fairly new. Many teachers still see my role as that of just checking out books and providing tech support. I am hoping this video will change teachers' perceptions to see me as an instructional partner. I plan to show this video to the staff at professional development that I will be leading later this month.

This project was probably one of the more difficult ones I have had because I don't like talking about myself. However, I can see the importance of this type of communication and have considered using it in my current classroom. The Jung/Myers Briggs results were interesting because they were not only spot on but also pretty close to the results I had the last time I took the assessment.

This type of tool would be helpful for all teachers/faculty to use in their classrooms. I "know" the teachers in my building, but I don't really know a lot about them at the levels that we used for this assignment. This information would be useful to understand how to better collaborate with my colleagues. While we developed this to foster our collaborative partnerships with our teaching partners, I think this would be useful in the regular classroom to use with the students. Had I known this information about some of my teachers, I would have had a better understanding of their quirks and they way they approached their students.

I can't wait to use this tool in my classroom (and eventual library)!

I had not taken a personality test in a few decades, and was a bit skeptical of it. When I saw my results for Meyers-Briggs, I was insulted to see that my largest score, 47%, was Judging! That had very negative connotations for me. Yikes! I took a breath and read through the explanations on the website. I was surprised to see how accurate that label really is for me; I do prefer my environment to be orderly, I do make lists and plans and enjoy seeing them through to completion. The Hartzell quiz was equally accurate when it described me as needing to feel part of a team and taking on too many projects at once.

I will be more careful as I collaborate with teachers to guide them to see me as a facilitator rather than someone to do their work for them. One of the ways that I have done this so far is to walk them through searching the Destiny catalog on our school's website. This enables them to browse available books themselves, rather than say, "Please bring me a book about Autumn." I'm glad to provide reader's advisory services, but teachers need to make their own choices, too.

My audience will be the 28 classroom teachers that I serve. I will tweak this project to include more of the services that are available to teachers as well as guidance that I can provide about using resources, rather than just offering to make their lives easier and ending up overfilling my plate.

This was fun to put together. I have already done a couple of personality tests this school year, and this one lined up with the others. I do think that, depending on the situation, I lean into a couple of the traits in different ways. I am much more of a gold personality at school and tend to lean towards the introvert and type 9 in social situations and at home.
I decided to create an infographic because it is a quick and easy way to share information. Since I am new to the school and haven't had the chance to meet everyone and introduce myself yet, I plan to email this out to our staff. I will also link it to my school webpage.

This is my second year as a SLMC and my first at my current school. While I am still meeting and learning about everyone and the school itself, I am excited to start collaborating with classroom teachers. I typically tend to focus on my areas of need rather than my strengths, but for this assignment I wanted to present myself in the best light possible in order to be the instructional partner I would like to be. I plan on sharing my infographic with the staff and am hopeful that they will want to contact my about collaboration in the near future.
I was not surprised by my results on either of the assessments. "Strong desire to be needed and useful" was something I have known about myself for a long time and according to Hartzell's assessment I have strong affiliation needs.

I chose to make an infographic! I used easel.ly to make it (although I may just have to go all in on a Canva subscription soon.) I was thinking of using Powtoon for a change but I really get annoyed at royalty free music. Infographics are becoming more my speed. Powtoon will come later. I also used Bitmoji for the first time! Now I see what all the fuss is about.

The Hartzell's Needs Assessment was a new one for me. However the results were not surprising and neither was the Jung Typology results (ISFJ). I've always been an introverted and loyal person. As the Need's Assesment showed, I really do put a higher priority on being liked over the other two needs. That part of myself is a little annoying but I counter it by thinking, "Of course you want people to like you. It makes the days go by so much easier when people like being around you." I think I can be a great asset and collaborator because I want whats best for others and I believe in making things work.

I will most definitely use this when I get hired! I am so pleased how it turned out. The audience will be the staff at the school. I'll probably email it to the staff when the opportunity arises.

I really like personality assessments because I always feel like I learn something new about myself. The last time I took Jung's test, way back in my undergrad years, I was an INFJ, and, interestingly enough, I've somehow converted to an ENFJ in the last 6 years. I'm choosing to accredit this change to several years in customer service related jobs and probably to growing more comfortable with myself and confident in my actions as I've grown older.

I think this is a really great tool to introduce myself as a professional and a collaborator. Since I'm not working in a school yet, this is definitely something I plan to use in job applications and hopefully in the future to introduce myself to coworkers.

This is kind of blending projects a little bit, but the teacher I spoke with for the collaborative interview said that she loves her school librarian, but had to seek out the librarian and find out on her own that the library was a resource for her curriculum. In my future program, this video is definitely something I want to share with teachers to show that I am looking to be actively involved in their classes and the ways in which I can be available.

I will hang this in my office for teachers to be able to relate and connect with me for their needs.
The Jung Typology Test and Hartzell's personality test were right on track with all the other personality test that I have taken in my lifetime.
As we grow older and wiser, I felt it may have changed but I am a ESFJ. I agreed with all the descriptions about me except a few.
I definitely like order and strive in structure so when we suddenly shut down the schools and I had to scramble to not only get chromebooks out to students but become a tech specialists as well my life turned upside down. I don't like to lose control of what is going on around me and I had to step back and take a minute to figure out a new plan.
It also stated that I dislike change and I disagree with that part of the test. I have implemented many changes in my media center since I have taken over two years ago and loved the challenge that came with making those changes.

For this assignment I decided to create an infographic. I used Canva to create my infographic. I plan to use our schools poster maker and place this poster outside of my library. I also plan to place this on my website. The test were very accurate and I also was shock with the results. I plan on evaluating some of my skills and make some adjustments. This was very helpful for me.

For this project I decided to make an infographic using canva. The staff at my school likes information delivered to them in a quick and easy manner. So, I thought an infographic would be the best way to get all of the information in one place.

I have taken many personality test in the past few years and my results tend to vary between being introverted and extroverted. I guess it all depends on how I am feeling when I take the quiz. This time I got ENFJ as my personality type. I really tried to pull the parts of this that would make me most beneficial to my staff as a collaborator and supportive team member.

I consider myself to be very blessed to work as a librarian at the same high school I taught English for 2 years. My colleagues already know me, my personality, my teaching style, and passion for education. However, I am fully aware that I may not always work at HTHS. This infographic and video can be easily edited to introduce myself as a friendly, collaborative librarian to a new team of teachers, should I change job locations.

I created my project using Canva (graphic) and Screencastify (video). I have used both resources before, but not to introduce myself. As I was creating my presentation, I actually thought about modifying this for my students, and having them create a graphic to introduce themselves to me/other teachers!

I took both personality tests, and I agreed with my Hartzell results of "having a strong need for achievement, not wanting total control, and being a friendly person." I also agreed with my Carl Jung results that I rely on my feelings more than anything else in the world! I do think the results were slightly skewed because it described me as introverted, but I (and my family/friends would agree) am very extroverted. I think I just needed some "space" after a long day at work. Having my students complete this personality quiz would also be an interesting and fun way to get to know them!

I am a very social and extroverted individual (despite my Jung results), so I certainly plan on "playing up" those traits in terms of getting to know teachers and building connections. I will also need to be mindful that my excitable nature may be off-putting/overwhelming to some educators and students, especially if I'm co-teaching a lesson to a group of high schoolers at 8:30am. I need to "read the room" to make sure my teachers and students feel comfortable around me as we work together on various assignments.

The audience for my infographic/video would be teachers at my high school. Since they already know me, I would definitely use the infographic/video for new teachers to our school. I could send it to them in an email, along with their login and staff chromebook information.

I really enjoyed this project! It made me it down and really think about what I have to offer to my students and my staff. I learned from this project that I have so much to offer. When I was creating my infographic, I tried to narrow down my abilities to the basics. I find out too often that some teachers still think our only job is to check out books to our students. We get this a lot with our newer teachers. I tried my best not to overwhelm my audience (new teachers) with a boatload of information. I wanted them to know that they can come to the media center and ask for collaborative, tech, and translation help. I plan to send this infographic out to our new teachers so they can know that I am here help and hopefully ease their transition into their new job.

I saw that I lead with emotion and I often reflect that in my conversations with others. I know that sometimes in the work place others may not feel comfortable talking about their emotions or how they feel about a certain topic, this may cause issues during co teaching for me. My audience was my staff at my school. We all enjoy using Bitmoji within Google classroom so I know they would enjoy this layout. I enjoy making Bitmoji classrooms and found it very easy to do. I will be coming back in the future to add more. I will link this classroom onto our main page for our staff hub.
