It is to show her growth, and the tree should be getting more and more detailed. Malinda and Mr. Freeman said ¨Tree.¨ Tree? It´s too easy. I learned how to draw a tree in second grade. She didn't know how to tell people that she got raped and it makes her feel vulnerable. ¨She does not say a word. She is already dead. A scream starts in my gut-I can feel the cut, smell the dirt, leaves my hair.¨ This is the memory from when she got raped, and the frog basically triggered that memory by the way it was strapped down and dissected.
