The book is narrated by Death and follows the story of young Liesel Meminger in Nazi Germany, during World War II. Liesel becomes obsessed with books after the death of his brother and starts stealing them. 

What I have liked the most is that the book is narrated by Death which I think is quite an unique narrator. 

I would definitely recommend the book as is both a historic novel, as well as, a bildungsroman and we can see how Liesel evolves and grows. Also, we can have a glimpse of what the war was like.
