- Does the project demonstrate extensive knowledge of subject?

- Is there convincing evidence to support ideas and conclusions?

- Are all questions answered with clear elaboration?

2. Organisation of presentation

- Is the organisation of the argument clear and logical?

3. Significance of project

- Is the project relevant or important to the field?

- Will it make a significant contribution?

Great presentation! The key strength of this study is that it arose from practice needs: these students felt a need in their school and they want to know how to meet those needs by doing research

Introduction slides

• The aesthetics (font size and colors) are very well selected

• Improvement: use colors to highlight key words

• Improvement: Talk about your school environment and current helping services to help us better understand why this study has added value

Method

• I like that you gave the reasoning behind the survey questions 

  • This is something I can also learn to do more

• The ten minutes interview could be enough because you are focused on one question; yet it also could be too short for you to have wiggle space for further questioning if necessary

Data analysis 

• The use of quotes are very helpful for us audience to understand the points making it more relevant and informative

• The later slides can be improved with key points instead of just a picture. I love that the presenter is sharing more: This is good. A single key point can help anchor the words that the presenter is saying

• Create a new section on recommendations and practice implication would bring this presentation home!

Really like how you specified young seniors! a niche we did not think about!

a question that we have, will be about the usage of phones with simpler functions such as nokia phones:

Simpler phones might lack the functions such as online payment etc. which is considered a limitation to phone usage in today's world. With the rapid improvement in the internet, how else do you think we can help ease the young seniors into it?

• Improvement: Include the TAM here? Since the TAM anchors the study?

Methods

• The use of Braun framework to guide how you do the analysis shows your group’s keenness and diligence to be rigorous in research methods

• You mentioned “we” analyzed, “we ..”: Maybe inform us who is the “We”? Because in qualitative analysis and in interpretation of themes, the “self” of the analyst is crucial to avoid biased or to counter each other’s interpretations. So some clarity on who are the “we”? Did you involve the seniors to also interpret and to check your analysis? Did you get a technology expert? It is fine if you did not. 

Analysis

• The definition of “use” or the presentation on the actual “usage” could help contextualize the findings. I love that it is data-driven to develop an understanding of “use”. 

• How would you answer an audience’s question who might push back:  “Why exclude the older adults when these are the persons who may need the help NOW?” Can your argument that “younger seniors” are the future elderly be a good enough reason? 

Implications

• This slide is very useful! A good wrap up to your study to convey that this study has good value.

The focus on sec, JC, and IB might be to increase sample participation. Yet, it might increase “noise” into the results since JC students may have different needs and abilities. 

The scope for this research is broad, maybe in the future, due to time limitations, you could try to scope down and focus on a smaller group of people, to further your research and understanding on the target audience!

- You have defined the constructs well. I appreciate this in that so that audience can have clarity about the your research focus.

Methods

• “Three teachers” Explaining how these three teachers were selected help us to judge if the sampling was done in a rigorous manner.

• Putting in labels to the “1, 2, 3, 4” in the bar graphs will help us to understand what these numbers represent

Results

• Foresee the possibility that there might be “pushbacks” from the teachers when it is concluded that teachers do not think “sadness” is important. There is a limitation in how you had collected these data (e.g., only three teachers) that might not lend strength to the conclusion you made about this. Re-Phrase the point to make it more tentative - rather than being to certain about the conclusion. We do not want to lose our audience.
