This was the beginning of my process to create my wall relief. I made slabs of similar measures. It was a hefty process considering I made many that did not suffice my standards. Sometimes the clay I wished to make into my background was either to small or had to many bubbles. Luckily this was when I had gotten the appropriate measures and was ready to move on.

By this point I started on slipping and scoring the back of my wall relief. This process was so much fun. Getting messy and seeing how they clay stuck together was pretty awesome. I did have a couple set backs because sometimes my walls were to long. Though it was an easy fix. I just cut them to the appropriate measures and stuck them on. This was the most enjoyable part of making the back of the wall relief, knowing nothing can go wrong.

At this point I has slipped and scored all my openings and corners. And i cleaned it up pretty well. I really liked the outcome of it. Even tho the back isn't quite proportional i was greatly satisfied as to how clean and smooth it looked.

This day I wasn't sure as to what I will be adding to my vision board, so I decided to work on stuff that could possibly make it onto my board. I got inspiration from Tim Burton characters. I had planned to add a face of a woman to my board at this point. So i practiced creating a face and watched youtube videos. It was an interesting process, but I sterred away from it.

My shapes were very non-dimensional so luckily for me, Mr. Stout came over and taught me how to make my shapes have more dimension.

This is the final result of my wall relief(nearly I have yet to paint it). I had help from a special friend as to what to name it and we decided on "Scary Berry". Scary Berry represents a cute teddy bear reaching out, somewhat seeming like wanting to be hugged. What I was trying to capture through this was Scary Berry wanting to attain love or be loved. The weird background lines by his head symbolize overthinking and confusion. Though when it gets down to the tummy area I created lines similar to the ones the Holy Mary has in her mural. What I wanted to represent through this was that even though something can seem pretty and perfect on the outside the inside does't always say the same. But being that the inside isn't perfect I wanted to give it more focus so I added the lines to create contrast between the head and body. Making the tummy area the focus of my piece. I was always one to believe in what's on the inside matters the most but being blinded by whats on the outside makes it hard to establish ones judgement. Therefore I made it my goal to focus on the tummy area the most when looking at my piece. Also I added barb wire by where the feet are meant to be to symbolize Scary Berry being entrapped by his own thoughts. And his heart shaped tummy with eyes symbolizes him being cautious as to who he lets love him because he too much in his head to believe anyone could ever love him, so he is extra watchful and careful as to who he lets in.
