The instructor started the class with these two questions, "What does pedagogy means to you?" and "What would you expect to learn from innovative pedagogy and assessment module?" We answered these two questions by the application. After that, we did discussion about the answers, and what was new for me was that the instructor at the beginning of each course should assess students to demonstrate the level of them, and then by the assessing will give the students materials of the course. The instructors should learn students how to behave in class, out of class, with faculty members, with materials that are useful for them such as elevators, desk and table. The instructor discussed the methods that we will learn in this course, and they will discuss those methods that are appropriate for our community. The instructor helps and motivates the senior students to tutor and be examiner the junior, sophomore, and freshmen students  in the exams or while they have a problem in a subject.  one of the instructor told us while he was teaching in university, he had student from private school and local school, but he used a method to control both of them with a method that not each of them feel bad because as we know the students that come from the private school have higher education level than local school students. After finishing the discussion of the brainstorm, we started to discuss the module. the instructor mentioned that the module contains three themes that they are teaching methods, assessment tools, and creating learning environment. The instructor analyzed learning outcomes.

Creating Positive Learning Environment
for creating positive learning environment, the instructor should have a good character, attitude and skills to have a great influence in the class and on the students. For example, respect: the teacher should have respect for students even though they are doing some thing bad. the teacher should understand the true needs of students, and the teacher should have a good relationship with students. the relationship should be with honesty, build trust and support them in every task that the students need. the environment of the classroom is very important because if the students do not interested about the classroom, they will not understand what the instructor say. also, the safety of the students is very essential since some bad things might happen, the safety system should have in classrooms and school. the teacher should have skills to solve the conflicts that might happen with a method to do not ever happen again. the teacher should always do smile because it gives positive feeling for students and for the teachers also. the teacher should not mix his or her problems with the class conditions. the teacher should have skills to control her emotions with students to do not punish students with some things that does not need that punishment. while students have problem with their parents or financially have problem, the teacher should listen to them and do everything to solve their problem. the teacher should count on personalize learning. some students need extra hour and some students need call from their parents. some students are sick or have special cases. some students have problem home. the teacher should understand all of these conditions to expect the high learning. ]]> 2021-07-10 15:53:02 UTC https://padlet.com/mizhdaabbash/dq32rxatjsh48t5l/wish/1644128755 mizhdaabbash https://padlet.com/mizhdaabbash/dq32rxatjsh48t5l/wish/1644228881 we did a brainstorm for the class about the role of the instructor in the class. The students did a discussion about the subject, and there were many interesting comments about the subject. After that, the instructor started the lecture with the topic of 21st century skills which contains several skills; the first one is learning skills, which is finding the solution to the problems, thinking about new things to do innovation, valuing the difference of students and work with each others, and having a good relationship. The second one is literacy skills which is information literacy, media literacy, and technology literacy. The third one is life skills which is leadership, flexibility, social skills, productivity, and initiative. We analyzed each of the above points, and I got interesting information about each of them that I might use them in teaching process.  I understood that teaching from lecture give you least impact than practice doing and teach others, which give you the most impactful influence. I learnt that the international languages learn us to get more information and be more successful about teaching methods. With the instructor, we discussed creative pedagogy that contains creative teaching, creative learning, and teaching of creativity. and the relationship between those points together discussed and explained. We demonstrated the elements of effective pedagogy that contains combination, change, content, and context. After we discussed and did argument about the video, we moved to the first themes that was about teaching methods. We talked about several teaching methods that they were lecturing, seminar, workshops, written assignment, laboratory field work,  graduation project work placement, and internship. We talked and discussed the advantage and disadvantage for each of them, and we talked about the role of each of them. except these ones, we talked about fish-bowl learning which is a method use for learning, and it was a new way of learning for me that I may get benefit from it in the future. We demonstrated another learning method which was authentic learning; this way of learning is very interesting and amazing for me because the process of learning  practically in the field might be implemented. Then, as a instructor, I may able to use appropriate method of teaching to implementing theories in the laboratory, field work and relate them with the real-life condition. From this theme, I learnt that the recognition of the needs of students and showing their ability in life long learning. They discussed the benefits of it and how it will work at class. They demonstrated several examples and the types of flashcards. Another group talked about class discussion conducted by teacher. They talked about group discussion, which has two types that they are formal and informal, and they talked about the advantage and disadvantage of it. The next group talked about model's method. they defined the method, and they showed the importance of the method, such as students engagement, helping students to predict, giving confidence. They talked about several types of model which are software conceptual physical. Another group talked about debate storming, which is a way of inquiring and advocacy a way of arriving at a reasoned judgement on on a proposition. This way of debate is happening between two groups that their ideology are different or opposite. they showed an example which was about parliamentary debate that was between government and opposition. The next group talked about lecture by teacher, which is in this method teacher centered approach used that the teacher only need wight board; this method used in the history style of teaching. They talked about that this way uses in social activities, community centers, universities, museum, and the series of social psychology. The next group talked about laboratory experiment in the process of learning. We talked about the benefits of implementing this process. We showed an example which was about isolation of bacteria from food, and we analyzed the steps. The last group talked about problem solving process. they explained the steps of solving a problem that they are defining the problem, explaining the problem, showing the aim, the cause of the problem, creating a plan to solve the issue, implementing the plan, evaluating the plan, finally discovering a solution for the problem. They talked about the advantages of problem solving process. We compared the differences of environments between abroad and KRG. The government should give the requirements that need for universities to create a good environment for students. Also, the teachers should create a good environment for students to get more knowledge in learning process. The second one was network, which was about friends, family, college and social media. It demonstrated that how can you choose your future success. They discussed each of them with details. We talked about assessment and learning outcome of this lesson that they contained the form of different design such as formative, diagnostic, and summative assessment. In addition, another learning outcome assess students' deep learning through an authentic project or problem based assessment. there are several beneficial ways why we are assessing students such as guiding the process of learning, giving evidence, demonstrating the level of learners information acquisition, and giving a certificate from their knowledge that they got. the assesses depends on knowledge, skills, and attitude. To more clarification, we analyzed the time of doing asses. For example. we have to understand what time is appropriate for assessing students to do not confuse or misjudge them. Assessment methods are the strategies and instruments that they used to collect knowledge to decide the level of learners and to get the set of teaching outcomes. Relying on is only one method assessing might be limited to only a part of the achievement learners. Some learning outcomes might be hard to assess of one method. Assessment map/matrix is a tool that is used matching the outcomes of learners, and it is the process ensures that the entire learning outcomes might be assessed. we discussed indirect and direct methods of assessment. We also discussed the guidelines of assessment. In addition, assessment of knowledge is conducted includes multiple choice questions, short answer questions, single essay questions, oral presentation, cases and open problems, group projects, poster sessions, direct observation,  questionnaires, and learning diaries, and we showed details of each of them. we explained the assessment of performance includes case studies, project based learning, field trips, lab experimentation, and graduation projects.
