In this post, I'm going to talk a little bit about the formatting I used for my job description.

I started off with the position summary to give candidates an idea of what I'm looking for and then moved into responsibilities and physical competencies/work environment. I like having these two categories first because I think they're important and also can help to streamline the process for applicants, if there's something they're not comfortable with that is expected of them, they'll see it right away.
I moved into the skills/requirements section after this as I believe that formal education isn't always mandatory, especially when there is ample experience and I like to be able to work with applicants on that.
I finished with benefits and compensation because I believe this is a great section to have on a job description as we also learned in earlier units how important it is to applicants too!

I find more and more people are taking to the internet to find things which is why my plan involves quite a few online platforms. Generally, people that are interested in your organization will have some type of online involvement with you and being online greatly increases your exposure.

Because I decided to do a restaurant, I kept my timeline fairly tight as I'm coming from the point of view that the owner or general manger would be handling this and have time to dedicate. Also, I know from experience that these types of positions move quickly, so I've adjusted my timeline to reflect that.
I also noted that I would keep note of my top three picks incase my first choice has already moved on.

So, I took the opportunity to reminisce on the good ol' days!

In addition to that, I have a serious obsession with sushi - despite being allergic to fish, I still indulge in the shrimp/crab and vegetarian options as I wish away my allergy so maybe one day... one day I can enjoy sushi to its fullest, once again!
