Challenges:
- Restrictions on production and use of coal may heap pressure on the economy and domestic supply chains
- When there is power rationing or pollution control, it causes industries to shut down or work at a more improductive rate, resulting in lesser money earned and workers to be put out of jobs
Strengths:
- Reuses the energy of burning fossil fuels and other sources of energ
-Reduced air pollution

1. Great number of slums and squatters as that existed mostly in the 1930s to the 1950s
2. Create affordable housing with non-segregation
3. Strengths:
- More intensive use of land space
- High quality, affordable housing
- Political support
Challenges:
- Because of the land scarcity in Singapore, EIPs could still be unaffordable for urban poor.
- Even with the implementation of the EIP, neighbours might not want to interact. It seems a little idealistic to want to rekindle the “kampong” spirit as people in fast-paced Singapore are so busy with their own lives, and might not consider it a priority to befriend their neighbours.

- The increase in density of buildings also limits and restricts the amount of land for agriculture and other purposes, overall decreasing our supply of food in the long run and singapore’s independence in regards to food and increases our dependence on other countries.
