In my opinion, demonstrating respect or building respect is all about displaying kindness and trust. Being kind and trustworthy can make a person feel safe and that they can rely on you, which shows respect for that person. The other person may also show respect towards you, and building trust is also about letting the other person know that they can trust you and that you will be more than happy to help them if they ever need assistance.

I think some religions can have an influence on our behaviour in many different ways. Parents can also have a big influence because until you get to a certain age your parents decide things and care for you. Friends and school surrounding can have an imapct because you might feel like your not good enough or try to change yourself in anyway because you feel 'different'.

In the school I used to go to as a class we would play soccer for sport, but often the girls wouldn't be passed to because the boys spent a lot of time playing it at lunch together that they weren't used to us playing. There seemed to be a lot more separation between genders especially when playing sports because they were stereotyped into different genders, for example only girls could try-out and play netball for sport.
