If the ability levels between students are very distinc, then you can include adaptations to your exercise to make them suit both levels, proving a harder and a easier option. You can also make sure they all know their contribution to the lesson is valued.

B) Create ongoing activities: 
As there will be students who finish their work ahead of the rest of the class, why not create ongoing individuals projects for the students.

C) Structure your lesson so that activities have more open-ended possibilities.
For example, put your class into small groups and suggest and activity such as write as many sentences about X, in X amount of time.
