I'm packing my ID (or passport), cash because I know not all places accept credit cards, and of course, my reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. I've packed comfortable, light clothes for the day, but also a waterproof jacket in case it rains unexpectedly. My hiking shoes are a must, as they will be my best allies on the hikes. I'm also packing sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses, and a hat to protect me from the sun. I packed some snacks like energy bars and nuts to recharge along the way. I packed my portable charger, my camera (although my cell phone works too), and a small first-aid kit with the basics. I added toilet paper, tissues, hand sanitizer, my toothbrush and toothpaste, and an extra change of clothes just in case. I'm packing a small backpack for the hikes, where I plan to store the day's essentials, and of course, my Machu Picchu ticket, printed in case I can't get a signal. The most important thing: I am really looking forward to living this experience, taking incredible photos and enjoying every step of this wonder of the world.
