         <description><![CDATA[<div>Alexander Graham was born on March 3, 1877 in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Graham Bell was a Scottish inventor and he was best known for inventing the first working telephone in 1876. He was the founder of The Bell Telephone Company in 1877.  Graham Bell's invention did an significant work and had a big impact in communication for the deaf and held more than 18 patents.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Oliver Evans was born on September 13, 1755 in Newport, Delaware. Oliver Evans greatest contribution to American industry was a high-pressure steam engine. Evans's machine was portable; it could power a wagon to transport hundred barrels of flour from Lancaster to Philadelphia in just two days, instead of three unlike low-pressure steam engines that could take for more than three days to transport. He founded the Mars Iron Works in 1807 and built the United States' first steam river dredge. Over the next 10 years, Oliver Evans also made more than 100 steam engines.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Elias Howe was born on July 9, 1819 in Spencer,  Massachusetts. Elias Howe was an American inventor he was best known for inventing the first practical sewing machine. Howe's invention helped revolutionize garment manufacture in the factory and in the home. He spent all his spare time in the development of a practical sewing machine for five years, and in 1846 he was granted a patent or license given by the government to be able to sell their inventions.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Andrew Carnegie was born on November 25, 1835 in Dunfermline, United Kingdom. Carnegie was known for the expansion of steel industry in the late 19th century. In the early 1870s, Carnegie entered the steel business, and over the next 20 years became a dominant force in the industry. He also expanded his railroad-related investments and founded Keystone Bridge Company, an iron building company. He was also best known for devising a steel production process that inspired the Industrial Revolution.
