We would need to persuade people so that we are able to get our own points across. We may also use it to make money, say, if you wanted to convince people that your Shampoo is the best Shampoo around, you would need to successfully persuade people into thinking that this statement true. You could also use it to make a deal with someone of you wanted to buy something from them, for example, if you wanted to make them lower the prices. Finally, you could use persuasion to, if you are in parliament, try to have laws passed that you think would benefit your country or state.
