All my other classes were easy to do except for math. "I worked very hard for me to just fail?" I asked myself. I wasn't going to give up I said and I practiced math everyday. By the end of the nine weeks grades were due. I worked very hard. Waiting to see what I got I studied a little bit more. The grades came in and I was passing.

I was a thursday night when we had a game. We've been losing for a while so I didn't really care when we lost. We had two girls on the team me and a girl and we rarely got to play. The brothers were out so me and the girl got to play and it was fun. Halfway in the game I wanted to score a basket at least one so after halftime I Worked hard and I scored two baskets. We didn't win but it was fun.

He was picked on by a tall man Mark. He couldn't pass the ball in basketball over to his teammate. His mom told him to put salt in his shoes. He thought it was silly but did it anyway. After two months he didn't grow. Disappointed, he didn't give up, and two months later still nothing. He has been wearing the shows he put salt in everywhere. During that time he had been practicing and working hard. His dad and mother saw him sad on the porch and his dad went to sit with him and he said that it wasn't about how tall you are you're a great player who has skill so go to that game and win. He did and the game was tied and he wanted to make the basket and he threw the ball over marks head and scored! Now he's a six-foot basketball player. 

How does this relate to the theme? 

It relates to the theme because Michael wanted to be taller but it didn't happen. Now he's six feet and an amazing basketball player.
