Some insights that I derived from the research I did were:
1.  The reduction of social contact through physical barriers.
2.  Decreasing the probability of infection with different seating arrangements

I learned a lot about seating arrangements, fixtures and layouts of aircraft which was very interesting as I got a designers perspective of how close and cramped aircraft cabins really are. Designing around personal space was a big challenge for me as the features I wanted to implement had to be kept minimal. Integrating personal space within certain aircraft seating arrangements was key to making the design feasible. Materials research was very important when creating the design as they needed to have some sort of anti-microbial properties, or properties that make the surface easy to sanitise and clean.
