It is like planting seeds. If a teacher plants a 'good' seed to the child such as kindness, perseverance, honesty, patience and the like, the child will bear 'good' fruit and will become a better person when they grow up. We won't see the results now, but eventually it will be paid off. All we need is patience and resilience. It it not easy but it takes day by day to achieve it.

I was a teacher before - we came all dressed up and by noon time when it was time for the children to nap, we were all messed up. It also wasn't the best paying job and so often than not, we worked beyond our scheduled working hours, not to mention the tons of paperwork. Yet, I stay on in this sector for more than a decade through the tears and laughter, and rising up to put on the hat of a centre leader. 

Though the roles may have changed, one thing will always stay. And that is the passion for service to others through education. I'm just someone very ordinary but I believe that I can make a difference to the lives of families, children and teachers just by being who I am - the best version of myself at all times.

I'm really thankful for all of you at SCC. I look forward to coming to school everyday. It's like my second home... Let's join hands together to make SCC a more than wonderful place to work at. Let's also bear in mind and hearts to serve our colleagues, families and children with passion, humility and kindness.

It’s not always an easy and smooth road.  I sometimes do feel like giving up. But after tons of reflections, one thing is for sure, this is where my heart is, my passion & love for teaching. 💕 
It is indeed one of the most challenging jobs yet so rewarding and priceless. 🥰

There's alot more to it than just teaching. What beholds in the eyes of others are not entirely justifiable to our profession. Behind the scenes are teachers like you and me breaking our backs day in and out changing diapers, trying to break a fall or squabbling and soo much more. It gave me opportunities to witness various milestones and progressions as the children grow towards independence. A teacher is not someone who teaches but also someone who inspires her students to give their best to excel in life.
