A missed period is one of the biggest symptoms of pregnancy. 

Other symptoms consist of:
Tender/swollen breasts, nausea with or without vomiting, increased urination, fatigue, spotting, cramps, mood swings, cravings, and bloating. 

Every woman is different and experiences different symptoms of pregnancy each time. What makes it extra difficult is that other common conditions like hormonal changes or sickness can cause similar symptoms; causing pregnancy scares. 

A study done gathered information from 702 women. They found that 234 of these women had sample reported a pregnancy scare during the study.
