They had to put some effort into to getting a good education for colored  children around California. What we can learn about the Mendez is that they didn’t give for instance, they had to fight in court and eventually won the case, but then they had to fight again in court and in was father from their home. They could of said, “ ugh we already won and now we have to again, forget it we already lost our savings!” But, no they didn’t . They were up standers and fought for what was right.
