Due to the never-ending events of shootings and innocent lives being murdered America has yet come up with a solution. Like many other Americans I blame the government, but what I learned throughout this deep diving of source is that the president is actually not in charge of the big decision. As much as he would want to ban all guns in the United States his political view has to be approved by congress, Supreme Court. This is the missing fact that many not know. Since he is the public figure of this country we all assume that he has the full power to do whatever he wants and whenever he wants but actually he does not.I realized this fact at the surface level of this article but after analyzing the source more clearly the state's governor gets to decide what laws to implement regarding the rights of gun ownership. It is known that the federal government is in charge behind the states government but without having a strong fundamental gun law where all 50 states have to follow then the country will not see any progress on gun control and more lives will be sadly be killed. Just like mine and many others our main concern is our safety, when will we walk around town without fear of dying. The trauma some have after witnessing horrific actions, the trauma the parents go through after realizing their kid is no longer with them. The change of direction from focusing to the president is now being switched to the Senate. I realized that we need to pressure more at the members of the Senate because with their votes we will see a change, and make them realize that the safety of the people is far more important than the rights to own a gun. Even though the right to bear arms is written in the US Constitution sometimes change is what the country needs, by reforming this law the numbers of mass shootings could possibly decrease. As easy as this solution may sound changing someones perspective is actually very difficult and I am not sure we will ever see a drastic change because some still think owning a gun shows strong American patriotism. My goal is to find multiple research regarding the dangers of gun usage while proving the cons of owning guns. I will being to research on how some even get their hands on these weapons and where these weapons are manufactures because maybe a solution may be related to the manufacture. If the company that produces these weapons decided to cut ties with any merchants it will lead to a decrease of profit, and a decrease of profit is something that everyone hates especially the government.
