As a new teaching method.

The Korean education system is very competitive, causing Koreans to strive for access to the best universities. Access to university is very demanding.

In conclusion, it is a country obsessed with education, competitiveness and the desire to always be the best, this causes school violence, it is a country that predominates in suicides.
His main interest is literature, the arts and culture.
The difference in our country Mexico is that we do not have the same educational overcoming doctrine. Priority subjects are not the same. They give great importance to art, culture, administration, while our education is more basic and simple.

There was another task where they had to say a dialogue from a movie or cartoon. That works really well as they continue to practice the language and reinforce their pronunciation.
</sup>

Apparently he has told me that his career is very difficult, as well as studying it at the university, they have a lot of academic load. He studies mechanical engineering, so math is pretty much present all the time. So your career requires a lot of time, work, effort and dedication.
The difference of education in Mexico is that perhaps, in our country it is a little less competitive, however, not for that it has less quality, it is just that cultural issues have a lot of influence in each country.

One led us to the other, while we investigated more about our culture to be able to explain it, we also practiced our English more and more and therefore we appropriated the language more as a routine or something everyday in a very natural way. Thanks to all this, it is like projects outside of the school routine that help a lot in the development of various skills.

My pen pal's name is Winnie Zhang and she's from Anhui province, China.

Korea Education is free and compulsory from 7 to 15 years old. This period covers the six years of Primary education and the first three years of Secondary. To pass to Secondary, students are required to pass an exam.

In Korea, education is very important to them, the students must be well disciplined, they receive more than 10 hours of class a day and the children don't have time to play or socialize, and the teachers are highly respected. On the other hand, in our country (Mexico) there isn't the same importance for education, parents and the people in general are very different, here children leaving secondary school generally no longer want to attend school or personal problems arise that prevent them .

She has shared with me what college education is like in Korea right now. Mention that learning is a gradual process. Currently his classes are virtual, but he tells me that in the last semester the most important thing is the internships in which they put theory into practice. As in Mexico, it is also very important to enter the field of study. He also considers that it is of great importance to collaborate with other people to obtain practical learning, although due to this contingency situation he has not been able to do internships and it is something that we also have at this time, although we do them virtually, we do not have the same interaction.

During this period I have learned very interesting things about the Culture in China such as the festivals that are celebrated every year, the most traditional food such as the hot pot, a little about how to relate to other people, the language they use, the rituals within the different religions, as well as the habits they practice on a daily basis. What I liked the most about this interaction process is that you can learn about any aspect of your partner's culture from their own perspective. They tell you how they live their daily life and it is interesting to compare these aspects with those of your own culture because you find the differences and the similarities between the different cultures. Which is valuable to enrich cultural diversity.

It's just a small city.
China's educational practice is a nine-year compulsory education system.Because of China's large population, it is impossible to train talented people according to their children's tastes or tastes, as it is in Europe or other countries, but it can only train children with uniform educational standards and learning contents.
Such an approach, though somewhat inhibiting children's abilities, has the advantage of ensuring a certain level of cultural knowledge among the general public.
By the way, nine-year compulsory education is the state's money to ensure that students have a sense of schooling within nine years.
It cannot be denied that those who study hard can really change their own destiny by relying on knowledge, even if it is somewhat difficult.

In her country, the teachers are highly respected and in the same way the students are very committed and responsible, they receive more than 10 hours of classes a day, and in the classroom there is a lot of discipline.
In South Korea, information technologies are implemented in a creative and innovative way.
However in Mexico teachers aren’t respected as before and students prefer other activities than school.

In this case I have learned interesting aspects about another culture, it is fascinating to know that you have a friend who is literally on the other side of the world who is similar or different from you. This course has been a pleasant experience and a good opportunity to learn, not only about culture, but also English.
Personally, I think it has been very supportive to make video calls since you practice English and every time I notice that I improve.

My pen pal told me that the school she is never been to because she was going to do her first year. But she told me that she has classes online, she has three classes on Monday, on Wednesday and Friday she has English classes, when she has classes together they give them a 10 minute rest because their classes last from 1 to 2 hours. And comparing it with the way we have the classes are very similar because we have the hours on different days the only difference is that they have two English classes.

My pen pal is called Khuslen, his hometown is Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia; But she has been living in Korea for 10 years, currently studying chemical and biomolecular engineering at Yosei University.
Korea's higher education system follows the United States method with colleges (colleges and universities) awarding apprenticeships, bachelor's degrees, associate's degrees, or diplomas, while universities award bachelor's, master's, professional. Korea's high academic performance has prompted British education ministers to actively reshape their own curricula and exams to try to emulate Korea's militant drive and passion for excellence and high educational achievement. But my colleague told me that she believed that educational practices are similar in any country, since all students must study well. I also emphasize that students are divided into degrees and are admitted to universities that match their grades. She told me that her mom always wanted her to be first in her class and wanted her to be a doctor.
In addition, she emphasized me more about what studying English is about, that is, she told me that I was not good at English, however she is improving a little through English class these days. Because she is studying English through the TOEIC textbook (which she taught me via video call). Where you memorize English words using the app and study English theory every day.

I try to get a lot of smiles from her and that makes me feel very happy, for all that I am achieving, that is, I like that she feels comfortable and always very happy.

Thanks to her I highly value my culture, my life, my family, my loved ones and my education.

My PenPal is called Ashley Liu. She is originally from Dongguan China but currently lives in Seoul South Korea where she studies German language and literature. From what you have told me, the educational practices in your country are somewhat similar to those we have here in Mexico because they take subjects just as we do, but as in most universities in the world, they schedule the subjects that go by their own decision. according to their curriculum and accommodate their schedules. My friend told me that education in Korea begins from kindergarten where children in China have the opportunity to receive education from a very young age, the government forces them to learn English from an early age and leaves them no other option to learn another foreign language at school, they have entrance exam until university and English is also included in the core subjects test so they have to work hard and focus on this language when they are young. However in Korean schools students have the option of learning another language, although they usually choose English. My partner also has school projects and homework that usually leave her very little time for herself, but even so, because of everything I have known her, I consider her to be a very accomplished and responsible student.
Regarding the differences between the educational practices of China or Korea and Mexico, he considered that in Mexico the English language is not included at such an early age, however, in secondary school this subject is begun although in many cases it is not it is given the importance it deserves. The Chinese educational system is much stricter in the education of its students than the Mexican system, in China children are educated to be good citizens with an active civic attitude and where they seek the good of others as well as their own, in addition They have a very strict culture of respect and based on the main ethical values. In Mexico it cannot be said that everything is bad, however some teachers only teach the main subjects without giving importance to other subjects that will also serve the children for their life within society.

Perhaps we have had so many difficulties to communicate due to the organization of our times and activities but she considered that we have a very good relationship, in addition, she has learned a lot about Chinese culture and Korean culture and also considered that she has learned even a little. of Mexican culture, thanks to everything we have talked about, I have been able to make several comparisons between their festivities and ours, such as the Day of the Dead, also with their way of expressing themselves in those Asian countries and in Mexico, the enormous difference between the humor of one country and another, the common greetings in Korea and Mexico, religion among other things. For all the reflections I mentioned earlier, it seems to me that in China and Korea there is a culture of special respect and cordiality with everyone. My pen pal named Minchen Zhao is from Hainan, China.

She is currently studying at Yonsei University in Korea. Study a degree in food.

My friend says that Chinese education is something ethical, intellectual and instructive. For the Chinese, teaching is getting the student to imitate what the teacher imparts. Raising is educating the child to become the best of all.

China has a large number of students and the largest educational system in the world.
It says that in China's education system there are 4 stages: childhood, primary, secondary and university. The first 3 are required.
In addition, there are compulsory subjects of
politics (Marxism, Maoism) in the specialty of Spanish Language.
In China education is extremely important, most of us Chinese study.

Chinese culture is surprising, no child is left without studying, it is normal for everyone to study, on the other hand in Mexico there are children who never went to school, they cannot read or write.

China has a quality educational system, as well as a life of comfort, but for this it is necessary to study and get a good job.

There is a wide difference between the educational system in Korea and that of Mexico; the comparison is not limited to the basic levels of the educational system, let alone the results obtained by students on achievement tests such as PISA. It is intended to make a more general comparison of the quality of education systems as a whole. The study highlights that, similarly, in addition to geographical, demographic, cultural and historical factors, which partly explain the differences in the general and educational development of Mexico and South Korea, a part of these differences must also be attributed to the public policies adopted in one and another country.
The main lesson that we can draw from the experience of South Korea is that a policy that expressly seeks equal educational development, in addition to being congruent with the values of social cohesion and solidarity, is more effective in the medium and long term for support the economic development of a country. It is evident that in Mexico there is no interest in investing in educational systems as in Korea.
Isabel Cristina Sánchez Pérez

My penpal's name is Raymond U, He studies and lives in Korea, so it is said that south Korea is a country full of history, culture and tradition, the Korean educational system also stands out for the good performance of its students internationally, South Korea obtained scores above the average suggested by the OECD in reading and mathematics However, this system is also famous for the great pressure it exerts on young students. Education is highly valued in the country and seen as a way to obtain professional prestige as well, the system is extremely competitive and students have very high pressure from their parents to obtain the best grades and be able to enter the three best universities in the country , known by the acronym of SKY: Seoul National, Korea and Yonsei. Studying at these universities will guarantee them a privileged social status and the most desirable job positions with the best salary. The difference from Korea to Mexico is that in Mexico there is not much pressure from our parents, teachers or students to get good grades, we Mexicans are more lazy to study. Although also, some Mexicans obtain good averages and achieve a professional career.
