Not being able to go to school affects my academic and social life. Schools have been working with students to continue learning at home. I have not been able to see my friends so I have the opportunity to call or message them in order to communicate, but it's still not the same. It's hard to have to stay inside most of the time and staying 6 feet apart can sometimes be a struggle at places such as the grocery store. Some people are more paranoid than others. There is a lot of worry being projected through media outlets, and it's hard to see so many people struggling. In my life, the more significant changes are staying home from school, not being able to be with family or friends (in person), and the fact that all major hiking trails are closed. To make up for lost contact, my family has been calling people regularly. Its not really me adapting, though my parents have had to set up appointments to schedule a time so that they can go into certain stores and just going grocery shopping a lot earlier in the morning to avoid lines and crowds.  Also wearing masks in public... or having to sanitize after touching something in a public area where before, when the pandemic was not an issue sanitizing after touching  common objects was not even a thought. To adapt, I just haven't touched anything in public spaces... (my skin is sensitive).

This means that many students, including myself have been at home all day, because I know longer have to go to school I have been able to go to my dads house more then I was able to. We aren't able to go to our friends or families houses and various stores and other public areas have been shut down. This greatly effected Easter this year. Most years, people go to church on Easter Sunday, not everyone but more then the typical church goers.
