A convergent boundary is where where two plates meet together and start to push against one another. If two plates collide, density matters a lot. When two plates meet, they could both be continental crust or oceanic. It can be also oceanic and continental crust. Oceanic crust is less dense so the continental crust pushes the oceanic crust under while the continental is over it.
