Positive education for me provides a wholistic approach to learning, skill development, fostering a sense of self & of others, of the wider community - it pulls together all aspects of acquiring information & knowledge in a context in the best interest of the child/individual; not only focussing on education of the mind, education of the spirit - the character of a child/individual. 
I've never actually attended or been involved with a school setting which utilises this approach, aspects of it, sporadic; I have known wonderful Principals & great teachers here & there, which certainly makes a difference to the learning environment. I homeschooled for sometime & have known many unschoolers who have a positive education approach to learning, the whole concept of homeschooling & unschooling is based on education being about the whole individual, values, character, knowledge.
