During this time the lady photographed probably is sad and scared for her future. If she had a family or friends that were not apart of what Hitler considered the correct group of people they were in danger. Her life was definitely about to change and become more difficult to achieve individuality and forced restrictions or relocation. I don't believe she thought that there was any hope left for her or her nation.

Mitchell- This woman had absolutely no hope, she knew that her life was about to be ruled over. Hitler led Germany into a horrible dictatorship and the citizens of other nations knew their life would soon be the same

She feels a new sense of nationalism and pride for the country. I also think that she is relieved that hitler has come to her country and she thinks that he can improve their country and that they are safe from communist

She was afraid that her life was about to change for the worst. She probably knew of what Hitler was planning to do and knew the next few years weren't going to be good and was worried for the rest of the world and her family.
