THE IMPACT ON PEOPLE: Official reports show that 2313 of the people that had to evacuate because of the radiation exposure died. An additional 19,500 deaths were caused by the earthquake and tsunami that happened prior. Over 164,000 people were displaced due to a 30km radius evacuation zone being established. The Fukushima Disaster also had psychological (such as PTSD, depression, and anxiety), and health impacts (like increased cancer risk due to the radiation exposure) on the community.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS: Radioactive materials were released into the environment, contaminating land, air, and water. Fukushima is still working on decontaminating and rebuilding the affected areas.

ECONOMICAL IMPACTS: The disaster led to lots of economic losses, due to stuff like cleanup cost, compensating residents for the damage to their lives, and taking care of the nuclear plant. The publics trust in nuclear plants and government oversight of the industry was basically gone after the Fukushima Disaster, which lead to job losses, increased electricity prices, and higher usage of other energy sources.

The power supply and cooling of three Fukushima nuclear reactors were disabled, causing a nuclear accident beginning on 11 March 2011, after a major earthquake followed by a 15-metre tsunami completely destroyed the city of Fukushima, Japan. The disaster messed up people's lives-lots of them had to leave their homes, lost their sense of community, and found it hard to get back to the way things were before.

After a big earthquake and tsunami hit Japan, a nuclear power plant in Fukushima broke down and leaked radiation. It was really dangerous and scared a lot of people.

This made the world think more about how risky nuclear power is and how strong nature can be. Some countries even stopped using nuclear energy entirely.

We havent even fully solved it, eco people say we should protect nature more, anthro people care most about keeping humans safe, tech people think better technology can fix it. Cleanup is still going on today.

Fukushima and Chernobyl were big nuclear accidents that let out harmful radiation and made people leave their homes. Chernobyl blew up in 1986, and Fukushima happened in 2011 after a huge earthquake and tsunami. Even though they happened for different reasons, both showed how dangerous nuclear power can be when things go wrong.
