Over-stimulation with senses is a stumbling block to free-writing exercises. The ASMR videos are from a Youtube channel that recreate scenes from beloved books such as Harry Potter and "The Hobbit" series. I downloaded one of the videos and overlaid my audio narration using Filmora Project software. Soft voice and slow narration is intentional to help students de-stress and relax before they write. Click on the video below and expand to full screen and increase volume to view. My audio narration stops at around 12:40. I would use for augmentation with my special needs students with their creative writing assignments to build confidence and skills. Often, they are hindered by lack of self-confidence. Sentence-building software on iPad is a great solution, because they love using technology.
