In the secondary world, every middle school (22 schools) engages in full station rotation in ELA. The teacher-led station is our focus in which we support TSGI. This year we are embarking on resetting Tier 1 through station rotation. Big Shoutout to our Principals and partners for their support 💚🙌🏾.

Big Focus on younger grades-Go back to best practices of what we can do for Tier I and II interventions? Must to daily informal assessing rather than waiting until a huge benchmark test is completed to determine gaps.

We begin with EOY data as we work to benchmark beginning of year. We the. Regroup students every 4th week and discuss students data during regrouping. Every 5th week we have Kid Talk for students who are not meeting with success. We discuss more of their data and determine additional tier I strategies for them to try for 3 weeks and bring data back to analyze. We then determine what Tier II intervention is needed. Our MTSS document drives our regrouping based on units of study but at least every 4th week. Teachers must have communicated phone/conference with parents prior to bringing students to kid talk.

Thank you to the panelists. A lot of great info. was shared. I would've loved to have seen slides for each to capture key points shared as this was a lot of verbal info when over 90% of us are visual learners.
