After reading the article, I conclude that I must agree with The Guardian on this topic. Because, as a professor of Rhetoric, I realise that there are many different ways people use to express themselves, and I don't believe that taking away someone's anonymity will automatically fix an issue that affects the internet as a whole.

Anonymous is newer a good choice. People who wants to be anonymously is often hiding because that only have bad things to write.

I believe it is a good idea that people should not be able to hide behind a fake name. It is wrong to treat others inappropriately, at least intentionally, and that should never be accepted as anything else.

I am a girl. I study medicin. While I was checking my IG I came across this article from The Gradian. Now, I’m not perfect, but I do drink latte at the local barista at 11 am on a Saturday morning talking about life with my friend who is a social science student. And I am sure he would agree when I say, “anonymity on platforms should be maintained”. It’s not up to the system to raise people right, if your parents didn’t do their jobs as a parent good enough, then YOU have some caching up to do. Not me. The post even mentioned it itself, people in a legitimate vulnerable situation use this security to speak there minds and shead light from a very different perspective.

If someone cant handle the power of anonymity, and feel like they have to curse then sencor they need to be parented again.

I agree with Joanna Geary that we should not be forced to use our real names. A lot of information and news depend on people transmitting it under pseudonyms. I like reading newspapers online every day. It would be a pity if people like me couldn’t access as much as information than before.
