Hi everyone.

I hope all of you are doing great as when we are doing this reflection,we had finally finished our Virtual Microbe task. Virtual Microbe is a project involves the collaboration between students from other universities. Of course.it was such a great idea to begin with. During my previous VM, I got myself new friends and of course, we succeed to finish and solved all the difficulties that we faced together. It was such a great teamwork. 

For this semester,our VM project is all about Literature Review. Yes, you have to read and review journals.  For this semester, the apps that we have used are Padlet,Zoom,Blendspace and turnitin. I think it was great at first to do LR. This is because, as most of us here will be having FYP next semester and from this we can learnt how to do it rights. 

However… 

At the beginning, my expectation was  like “ Okay girls (as all of my team members are girls), we are going to do this better than before ..”. But yeahhh… I don’t know…I have got no words to describe my feelings about  this VM…there are a lot of things that maybe in future we need to be prepare of. Whenever we heard about teamwork, of course it involves all of the members in that group. I don’t expect everyone in my group to give 100% percent of their attention for this project,NO. But at least, they got a rough idea how we are going to do it,TOGETHER. We might did the tasks at the very last minutes, however it was not an excuse for screwed it up.  When we talk about TEAMWORK, yes it involves everyone…but how? It starts with ourselves. This only works when each of us knows or realises our own responsibilities.  As soon as you know your responsibilities, you will know that this project can only be successful with the contribution from all parties. If you do not know how to do it, just ASK.  All of us here are in a learning process, there is nothing wrong with asking I bet. This is because students from UPM I think,MOST OF US didn’t know that UKM students have no idea about how to do LR. For me,myself, I just knew about it few days before submission. And yeah, of course we share with them how to do it step by step, but still you need to learn in properly. Not in a day. Personally, I think by having virtual discussion, its quite limited to do all the tasks in many ways. 

 

p/s: no more VM in future, doing all the virtual things makes me feel far from my friends around me. I love my coursemates and that would be better if our next project only involves people around me, at least we can spend time together sitting aroud the table,and discuss in a real way.  Sorry dr if my write happened to offend your feelings, that is not what Im intended to.Really.
